Iowa Scale Engineering H.O. Scale Grain Belt Models HDPE Culvert Pipe 24”
Culvert pipes have been around for over a century and serve many purposes from storm sewers to drain pipe and even irrigation. Found where roads or railroads cross low lying areas, streams, or other waterways, these pipes provide a pathway for water to flow while reducing erosion at these critical crossings.
High-density polyethylene (HDPE) pipes are a relatively recent invention, but still found use as early as the 1970s in highway drainage applications. These HDPE culvert pipes will look right at home on any layout set in the late 20th century through modern times. Each HO-scale pipe section is 20 scale feet long. Hollow throughout, each pipe features realistic corrugations on the outside and a prototypical smooth interior.
