SBX UNIVERSAL RETROFIT COUPLERS

The SBX series of “ScaleBox” couplers are for replacing entire coupler boxes.

The SBX series of “ScaleBox” couplers are for full coupler box replacement scenarios.

These couplers are supplied with a replacement coupler box that is narrow in profile and a “hat” that configures the box to fit a standard MTL box mounting profile.

They are an easy replacement in existing body mount configurations where the box is a completely separate part or for conversion of truck mounted rolling stock to body mount.

SBX couplers come with trainline air hoses to even further improve the realism of your converted models.

If you are looking to convert models with factory integrated boxes, or most locomotives, the URS series of couplers is likely a better fit. ​
